Low-carb Avocado Spinach Smoothie
Start your day with a nutritious and energizing low-carb avocado spinach smoothie. This recipe combines the creamy richness of Vista Extra Virgin Avocado Oil and plain unsweetened yogurt with the natural sweetness of a whole peeled banana. This recipe makes two 12oz smoothies.
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons of Vista Extra Virgin Avocado Oil
• 1/2 a cup of plain unsweetened yogurt.
• 1 whole peeled banana
• 355ml (12 oz) of cold water
• 2 cups of uncooked spinach, not compressed or packed down
Instructions
Step 1. Combine all ingredients into a blender.
Step 2. Blend until smooth. Make sure to continue blending until you can't see little chunks of spinach anymore.
Step 3. Open up the blender and add another 355ml (12oz) of water, and blend again.
Step 4. Pour into 2 glasses and serve! Or drink one now and save the other for later in the day.
Tip: Halve the recipe to make just one smoothie. You can also play around with the amounts and type of yogurt used to change the texture and creaminess of the smoothie but be sure to keep it plain and unsweetened as to keep this a low-carb smoothie.
